How To See Your Doctor

Patients can see the Doctor of their choice by making an appointment by either telephoning or calling into the Surgery or by sending a message.  If you feel you require a longer appointment please ask when making the appointment.  Urgent consultations will be seen on the day requested.

 When The Surgery Is Closed

There is always a Doctor on call outside surgery hours.  If you require a Doctor urgently, call 111.  You will be transferred to NHS 24. You will be asked your details by a nurse who will give advice, or may arrange an appointment at the Primary Care Centre at Dumfries, or a visit by the mobile Doctor. All details are recorded and sent to the surgery the next working day.

Home Visits

If you are too ill to come to the Surgery a home visit can be requested.  If possible it would be helpful to the Doctor if requests can be made by 10am.

It would also be helpful if you could give the receptionists some indication of the nature of the problem.
